Aircraft Movement:
Pilots of Operators utilizing Sishen Airport shall ensure that ACFT are parked safely on the designated apron as approved by airport manager and are manoeuvred in an orderly and safe manner.

Passenger Movement:
Pilots of Operators utilizing Sishen Airport are responsible for and shall ensure the safe management and movement of their respective passenger flown or to be flown on their ACFT to/from Sishen Airport, especially DRG embarkation and disembarkation by accompanying embarking and disembarking passengers to/from the terminal building.

Operators’ pilots and hostesses shall wear reflective vests when on apron.

FASS AD 2.9  FASS AD 2.9 SURFACE MOVEMENT GUIDANCE AND CONTROL SYSTEM AND MARKINGS

1 Use of aircraft stand ID signs, TWY guide lines and visual docking / parking guidance system of aircraft stands. 1.1. Sishen Airport has five (5) power-In / power-out self parking ACFT parking stands on the apron designated 1 to 5.
1.2. ACFT parked on stand numbers 1, 2, 4 & 5 will be facing the terminal building at 90 degrees.
1.3. ACFT parking stands must be approached using either Taxiway Alpha - approach direction. RWY 35 or Taxiway Bravo - approach direction RWY 17 entering the parking stands from the apron taxilane provided at the rear of the apron and facing the terminal building after final parking.
1.4. Due to NO Marshalling service AVBL, a yellow Lead-In line, Alignment Bar and Stop Bar/Line is provided on each of the five parking stands to assist flight crew with self parking. ACFT will be regarded safely parked within the designated parking stand when the stop bar/line provided on the left side of the aircraft is aligned with the left shoulder of the captain of the ACFT indicating that the ACFT is safely positioned within the designated safety lines provided in solid white.
1.5 ACFT approved to operate to Sishen airport are to park on the parking stand as indicated on their approved application.

Pushback Procedures:
2.1. For the purpose of departure, the ACFT would taxi forward following the yellow lead-out lines towards the taxilane and then a LEFT or RIGHT turn towards taxiway Alpha or Bravo pending the runway to be used for take-off .
2.2. Taxi out of the parking stands is towards the terminal building and then a LEFT or RIGHT turn towards Taxiway Alpha of Bravo.

FASS AD 2.20  FASS AD 2.20 LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1) Pilots and operators wanting to make use of Sishen Airport shall apply with the Sishen Airport Manager for written approval at least 24 hours before estimated time of intended MOV by requesting application documentation via email to liana.blaauw@angloamerican.com, jacky.booys@angloamerican.com and flysishen@angloamerican.com.
2) Failure to obtain the required written approval shall result in the following penalties:
– A fine amounting to R 5000 shall be imposed upon the operator or the registered owner of the ACFT;
– The incident shall be reported to SACAA by Sishen Airport;
– Note that unauthorised MOV at the AD may jeopardise insurance cover over the ACFT and/or occupants;
– Sishen Airport Manager reserves the right to decline an application for operating to Sishen Airport, such as in the event that the ETA / ETD are outside of the operational hours of the aerodrome and apron parking space is fully booked. Approval of an application cannot be guaranteed.
3) The airport charges landing and PAX fees as per the guidelines for airport charges stipulated in the Government Gazette.
4) After hour access to the airfield property is restricted. The runway is AVBL for ACFT related EMERG at own discretion.
5) Pilots and operators utilising the AP are responsible and shall ensure the safe management and MOV of their respective PAX, especially DRG embarkation and disembarkation.
6) Pilots and hostesses shall wear reflector vests when on the apron.
7) Pedestrian pathways are provided from the access gate leading to the airside up to the edge of the apron taxi lane of each of the five aircraft parking stands. No passengers may board or disembark when another aircraft is in the process of parking or departing. Pilots are to lead their PAX to/from disembarkation and embarkation.
8) Talking on a cell phone while embarking / disembarking of ACFT is strictly prohibited. Pilots are to ensure this rule is enforced with PAX.
9) Sishen Airport is an unmanned airport without ATC. ACFT to broadcast on 123.5 MHz when in Sishen airspace
