FAWB AD 2.20  FAWB AD 2.20 LOCAL AERODROME REGULATIONS

1) Engine running only to be conducted on Designated Engine running area at Main windsock E of TWY D4. Taxi clearance to be obtained from Ground Movement Control, FREQ 120.60 MHz. 2) No PRKG by any ACFT is allowed on or close to any TWY this includes the taxiways located within the APN and AD MOV area. 3) Pilots taxiing to or FM the B or C (Main) APN or Fuel bay have to obtain instructions FM ATC on FREQ 120.6 MHz. 4) Pilots taxiing on TWY C2 to EXER CTN BTN TWY B and TWY D, due to HEL circuits PARL to RWY 11/29. 5) No vehicles allowed on the APN without a rotating Amber LGT and permission FM APM 6) No vehicles/persons are allowed entry into manoeuvring area without permission FM ATC. 7) Instructions are only allowed to exit ACFT for the purpose of the student continuing with solo flying within the manoeuvring area. Students are to call for taxi instructions FM ATC before re-entering the manoeuvring area. 8) All students pilots are to advise ATC on first CTC that they are conducting solo student flight training. 9) Unless otherwise advised by ATC, pilots landing on RWY 11/29 may vacate onto RWY 24 and right onto TWY B.

FAWB AD 2.21  FAWB AD 2.21 NOISE ABATEMENT PROCEDURES

-According to AIC 20.3. -No low level circuits on SUN. -No helicopter circuits training before 0900 on SUN and Religious HOL. -No parachuting before 0900 on SUN and Religious HOL -All HEL OPS below 4600 FT to be conducted within AD perimeter fence. -No engines runs allowed: MON - SAT 1700 - 0500 and SUN before 0900 and after 1500.

FAWB AD 2.22  FAWB AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURES

General
Circuit procedures:
a) ATC in operation - as advised by ATC.
b) Circuit ALTHelicopter - 4800 FT, Piston engine - 5100 FT, Turbine engine - 5600 FT
c) Fixed wing circuit: RWY 29 and 24 - Right hand, RWY 06 and 11 - Left hand.
Early turnouts subject to ATC approval.

Procedures for VFR Flights within FAWB CTR:
VFR pilots must obtain an ATC joining clearance at the following reporting points:
a) N (GFA1/FAD 127): 2 NM N of Rooiwal PWR STN,
b) W: OHD Rosslyn industrial area,
c) NW: join W or N, that is: report at Rosslyn or 2 NM N of Rooiwal PWR STN.
d) E: OHD the Cullinan town or Cullinan dam.
e) S W: Crossing the Magaliesberg ridge S of Rosslyn industrial area.
f) S E: 5 NM S E of Mamelodi.g) N E (GFA2/FAD128): 7 NM N E of Roodeplaat dam.VFR pilots that have not received and acknowledged an ATC CLR cannot enter the FAWBCTR. In the case of an EMERG , joining will be according to ATC CLR and pilot discretion.

Communication Failure:
In the case of RCF, follow the STD published RCF procedures.
NE (GFA2/FAD128): 7 NM N E of Roodeplaat dam.
VFR pilots that have not received and acknowledged an ATC CLR cannot enter the FAWB CTR. In the case of an EMERG, joining will be according to ATC CLR and pilot discretion.
In the case of RCF, follow the STD published RCF procedures.

FAWB AD 2.23  FAWB AD 2.23 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Warning: Occasional blasting 1.3 NM N of AD. Danger HGT GND - 2000 FT. ACFT in circuit to N should remain N of Railway line and W of Bon Accord Dam as advised by ATC.
-Hazard - Wind shear on THR of all runways due to close proximity of hangars and geographical features to runways and AD. Normally present when wind speed exceeds 15KT
-Buck and Guinea Fowl on AD.

Parachuting:
Drop zone designated as area S of RWY 11/29 and 06/24.
Times:
a) Every SAT and Public HOL during ATS HOD only, from 0700 till sunset.
b) Every SUN and Religious HOL during ATS HOD only, till sunset.
c) Every second WED from 1000 till 1400.
